Did I leave you high and dry?

I know I did!  So sorry!  As the end of the trip approached, it seemed that everyone on our boat was sick – including me! I maintained the writing of the blog, but have not put together the pictures to go with it. I have to ask for a continued indulgence.  I should be able to get caught up and finish the entire trip, shortly after I get home. (Tuesday!)

Thanks for your patience and stay tuned:  There is definitely more coming!

Moving right along: Trier and Bernkastel, Germany

The "famous" Pointed House. Unbelievable, right?

The “famous” Pointed House. Unbelievable, right?

It feels as if the trip is really starting now.  Full of enthusiasm and energy, we begin to discover the cities along the Moselle River.

Trip Day 4 (Sunday, May 3rd): Trier and Bernkastel

Luxembourg and boarding the Viking Odin

We’ve left Paris, visited Luxembourg, and finally boarded our boat, the Viking Odin.

Trip Day 3 (Saturday, May 2nd): Luxembourg

I found this map of the Battle of the Bulge very useful. The grey area to the west show the "Bulge" - where the German armies made incursions into their neighboring countries, but unfortunately for them, left themselves exposed on three sides. If you can see the map clearly, it has the names of all the different divisions who fought.

Last Day in Paris, for now…

Today it was a bus tour and free time in the afternoon.  Not many pictures – mostly Notre Dame and Montmartre.  If you have been following along you can read the latest and greatest here:

Trip Day 2 (Friday, May 1): Paris

If you have been putting it off, start at the beginning, and each page will lead you to the next:
