Our Last Days in Berlin

Finally!  Foiled continually by the internet service in Sicily, I outwitted its vagaries by an early morning foray into cyberspace.  Thankfully, here is the last of the Berlin Journals.  Stay tuned for Palermo, coming “soon” – signal permitting! (The other parts of this journal are:  Berlin I and Berlin II.)

Berlin (September 2013)

_DSC8365Welcome to Germany!  We’re having a great time, stumbling through our limited German, but finding our way around with the help of many Germans who speak English.  Here’s my account of our first three days.

A Stop in Texas on our Way Home

As my close friends know, I am off to Berlin and Sicily this coming Thursday (so stay tuned for on the road dispatches from the Old World), but I wanted to finish up the summer’s travels before I started something entirely different.  And so, I hope you enjoy the journal of a day trip that Oscar and Gerry, Sr. and I enjoyed while we were visiting Gerry, Jr. in early September in Texas (with the excuse to see a TCU football game!).   Click here to read the journal and see the pictures.
