Touring So. WI (cont.)

One of the other attractions we dragged our CA friends to was one of my favorites – Taliesin East – Frank Lloyd Wright’s home in Sprint Green, Wi.  Here’s the review of our recent trip, complete with pictures!

Touring Southern Wisconsin with Friends

Even for a person like me, who loves to travel and see new things, being a tourist “at home” requires the presence of friends from out of town! The final week of August, and consequently summer, we had friends Cindy and Greg visiting southern Wisconsin from California, and we took the opportunity to do some new things and to revisit some old things.

To make it easier for me to remember what we did and how much we liked it or didn’t, I am going to talk about them as discrete destinations. Starting (in almost reverse order) with Holy Hill.

The Perfect Excuse

If you haven’t made the trip to visit Aztalan State Park (near Lake Mills, WI) I have the perfect excuse for you!  The Friends of Aztalan State Park have once again invited the spectacular Aztec dancers from the famous Ballet Folklorico Nacionale of Milwaukee  to perform  at Aztalan State Park on Saturday August 17 at 1:00 PM.  Click here to read more about the event and my involvement!
