A Hot Time in the Old Town (Dallas)!

Two walls of the 360 degree video screen. Impressive!Cooling off in Wisconsin after a couple of days of 100+ degree days in Texas, I had a chance to write up my visit to the George W Bush Presidential Library & Museum, in Dallas. Click here to read about it and see the pictures.

Summerfest – July 3rd, 2013

IMG_0858I dream about going to Summerfest every year, but rarely does my schedule allow me to be in WI at the end of June and in early July.  This year I made it a priority to find the time to go, and even so, I only made it one evening.  Here are some pictures and even a (extremely amateur) video, as well as my usual wordy commentary on our foggy evening at Summerfest 2013. (ps All the pictures and video were taken with my iphone, with which I am still learning to control as a camera!)

That’s right!  Just west of Beloit, WI.  I loved it, and I hope this post will inspire you to visit. To read about the Beckman Mill, click here.

A Bit of Janesville History

I have had a busy time here in Wisconsin, but I hope you enjoy this short account of my trip to see the Parker Pen Company exhibit at the Rock County Historical Society.

My favorite display case: Shows gorgeous pens and the historic figures who used them!
