Costa Rica – January 2012

As I have mentioned before, I am in the process of transcribing older journals to include in the blog.  This is the Costa Rica journal, from a trip we made at the beginning of this year.  I have also included photos. I hope you enjoy it!

The Time Machine – Back to 2001

As I promised, I have been transcribing old journals to add to the Jetsy blog.  Costa Rica has been interesting… Suffice it to say – it needs a lot of editing!! So, in the meantime, I am going to take you back 11 years, to our family trip to Europe.  It is October 2001 of our “Euro-Year” and we are in Great Britain.  If you have no idea what I am on about, perhaps you should start at the beginning.  If you kind of remember that we left off just as we arrived in the Cotswolds, then definitely resume reading here!

I’ve been grounded!

When I was a teenager the lament was “I’m grounded!” and that happened so much more often than I want to admit to my own children. I had a hard time being a good girl – so much so that it was a regular part of my evening prayers right after “God bless Mommy and Daddy…” But not the point of this post!

Now, I am grounded as in “This is our busy season at work, and so I will not be getting on a plane until after Christmas.” (If all goes according to plan.) But that doesn’t mean I won’t be posting. Why just these past few nights I have been working on the journals I wrote in Costa Rica. I BET you want to see those! I will also let you see the October chapter of Euro-Year (our trip in 01-02 to Europe with the kids for 9 months.) So it’s going to be armchair travel for awhile – but hopefully as entertaining and informative as it is (ahem) when I am actually on the road. Stay tuned!

This is it. The last post for this trip!

If you know what this is – you know where we were!

Read about our couple of days in … Barcelona!

Wrapping up Lanzarote

This September 2012 trip has 3 Parts: London (Part I), Lanzarote (Part II) and soon (!) Barcelona (Part III).  This post however, alerts you to the end of Part II, the Lanzarote portion.  Here’s the link to the last segment.
