Here is the first post on our trip to and through the Porkies. I have so many pictures to edit that I am behind in posting and writing! More to come. Porcupine Mts – Day 1
It has rained, heavily, here in Milwaukee on the last 3 days. Yesterday, I experienced it firsthand (with ample warning as I recorded on my iPhone). Enjoy the pictures! (Scroll down if you have already read the first part.)
It wasn’t the hottest day of this summer, but it was hot enough! Still, I enjoyed my visit to Azatlan State Park, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading about it and seeing the pictures. Please comment! Especially if you have been there.
I almost forgot to follow up for those of you interested in Ephraim Pottery. This Saturday, July 21st there is an an arts festival in Lake Mills, home of Ephraim Pottery, and the pottery itself is having special demonstrations all day. Sounds like a perfect outing for a summer Saturday. I’ll be there! Let me know if you will.
Only in San Juan? Probably not. I guess that’s a gross exaggeration. But, here’s a tip for going through security in the American terminal: Don’t get into the special line for “priority” passengers to have your ID checked. It is anything but faster, special or priority! The TSA agent assigned to that line is also assigned to the wheelchair and employees line, and all of them will go before you. As you stand there waiting to be scrutinized and judged as to how closely your ID picture actually looks like you now (“you’ve changed your hair”), you can watch all the not priority passengers who were way behind you in the boarding pass line breeze right through!
And don’t get me started on the bright pink priority stickers and baggage claim.
