It isn’t hard to coax a Wisconsonite (Wisconsonian?) outside in any season, but when Spring is this beautiful – you know a blog post is coming. Check out a treasure in central south Wisconsin!

Betsy,
You may not be aware that your appreciation for Lake Kegonsa was shared by our ancestors. Yes, George S. and Martha owned a get-away home there for years. Once they bought and built the “Stonehenge” property on the outskirts of Janesville, the Kegonsa home was sold. But they and all three children spent many enjoyable hours savoring the pleasures of Lake Kegonsa.
No, I didn’t know that! Thanks. Do you have any pictures of them there by any a chance? And you wouldn’t know the address would you? I took a detour around the residential part of the lake (by accident) so I saw a lot of homes, mostly all modern, though.
I don’t have a photo handy but I’ll put finding one of my list and send it.
Address .. nothing visible in photos but I have driven through the area trying to find a match … and had not seen obvious lookalikes. If their house is still there I’m sure it would have been remodeled and may not be recognizable.
