Betsy,
You’re an excellent photographer. And we love the Old Rittenhouse Inn as well. We stayed there years ago when we were on a week-long bike trip in that area with a group called Bike Wisconsin (that no longer exists). And I believe that the owners (if it’s still the original ones, who came from Madison) were among the first to start upscale bed and breakfasts as a “thing” in Wisconsin. At one time, they offered classes to others interested in starting a bed and breakfast. A plastic surgeon on staff at the hospital where I worked in Milwaukee took that class, as he and his wife were opening a bed and breakfast when he retired. (I was surprised he wanted to, as he seemed like a misanthrope at work, but perhaps he was charming outside the health care setting and did like people after all).

Interesting! Did he start that B&B?
